Steak and Egg Sandwich
During my short stay in Argentina, I noticed that they add scrambled egg to everything. Go anywhere selling food and you'll find french fries topped with egg, hot dogs with egg, grilled steak with egg...
On a few occasions at a few different places I ordered a steak sandwich. Everyone knows Argentina for its steak so I had to make the most of it, right? On each occasion, the sandwich was also loaded full of scrambled egg. It tastes AMAZING!

Lamb Kofta Pita Pockets with Quinoa Tabbouleh
Koftas are ground meat mixed with a few spices and shaped into balls or kebabs. They can be found in many different cuisines including Indian, Afghani, Pakistani, and Turkish. The Greek variation is a popular dish including chickpeas, usually fried and served with yogurt or tzatziki. They are simple to make and taste great. I've made the recipe a little more healthy by baking the koftas.

Here's what Kecia has to say:
I was sooo excited that Nicole asked me,
little ole’ me to create a guest post for her! PicNic blog is one of my favorite!! I mean FAVORITE sites!
I love her wonderful cheesecake recipes among other things! I really wanted to
share something truly delicious with her so I decided after making this
sandwich; this had to be the one to send her! Thank you so much Nicole for
having me!
I had this sandwich in the airport on the
way home from Colorado Springs that was really good, but I knew I could really
rev it up and totally rock it! See it had chicken, cheese and pesto! OK, I
know… what can be at all bad about that! Nothing!! But, it was cold and I
though wow! Use a nice crusty bread, heat up the chicken on the grill, make
some homemade pesto from the herbs in my garden and melt the cheese on
top! Yes!! That is what I want to make
tonight! I grilled a bunch of extra chicken last night to put in soup and had
two fantastic ideas on what to do with the left overs! Honey picked Italian, so
here it is! Enjoy!

BBQ Steak and Onion Ring Burgers
I've been on a bit of a BBQ sauce kick lately. I hadn't used it much in years. Now I am remembering that it tastes great with almost anything. Especially this steak and onion ring burger.
This was the ultimate man food burger. Emmet was absolutely delighted with his big, thick steak filled burger topped off with onion rings, cheese, and lashings of BBQ sauce.
Steak cooking tip: Always allow your steak to reach room temperature before cooking. Cooking a steak straight from the refrigerator is more likely to cook unevenly. It's also important to rest steak after cooking (cover with aluminum foil) to allow all of the juices to run out from the center of the steak and give a nice, tender, juicy steak.
Makes 4 burgers
400 g rump steak, seasoned with salt and pepper on each side.
1 - 2 Onion, sliced into rings
1 Egg, lightly beaten
1 Cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 Cup plain flour
Oil for frying
BBQ sauce
Lettuce
Cheese
4 x Burger buns
1. Make the onion rings by combining the egg and milk together in a bowl and mixing in salt and baking powder. Coat each piece of onion in flour then coat in the egg batter mixture. Set aside.
2. Heat a dash of oil in a large fry pan over a high heat. Cook steak to your liking (for medium-rare about 3 minutes each side). Set steak aside to rest for about 10 minutes.
3. Heat oil in a small saucepan (or turn on your deep fryer if you have one), once very hot add the onion rings a couple at a time and fry until golden brown, remove onto a plate with a paper towel on it.
4. Slice the steak into strips. Assemble burgers with lettuce, cheese, steak, onion rings, and BBQ sauce.
