This dish is easily adapted to suit your families tastes - be it more or less spice, extra veges, or different ground meats.
This dish also reheats really well, and would be suitable for freezing.

Beef, Bean, and Macaroni Casserole

Serves 4

1 1/2 Cup Macaroni
500 g (1 lbs) ground beef
1 Onion, diced
2 Cloves garlic, crushed
2 x 400 g (14 oz) cans baked beans
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
3 Tbsp tomato paste
1 Cup grated cheese

1. Preheat the oven to 200C (400F). Cook the macaroni following the directions on the packet. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

2. While the pasta is cooking, heat a dash of oil in a saucepan. Add the onion and garlic and cook for about 4 minutes, until the onion is translucent. Add the ground beef and fry until browned.

3. Mix in the baked beans, Worcestershire sauce, spices, and tomato paste. Stir through the macaroni.

4. Pour into a baking/casserole dish, spread with the grated cheese and bake for about 10 minutes, until the cheese is golden.
