Steak and Bacon Pizza
Pizza - everyone loves it, and it's so easy to make at home.
We love making pizzas on weekends, making the base then loading up with whatever delicious ingredients happen to be in the refrigerator. This pizza is a simple combination of beef steak and bacon. What's more to love?

Steak and Egg Sandwich
During my short stay in Argentina, I noticed that they add scrambled egg to everything. Go anywhere selling food and you'll find french fries topped with egg, hot dogs with egg, grilled steak with egg...
On a few occasions at a few different places I ordered a steak sandwich. Everyone knows Argentina for its steak so I had to make the most of it, right? On each occasion, the sandwich was also loaded full of scrambled egg. It tastes AMAZING!

Beef Cannelloni
Cannelloni is an Italian dish of a pasta cylinders filled with meat and sauce and baked in the oven. They are not only a fun dish to make but also super taste and packed full of vegetables. This makes it a great way to sneak extra veges to the kids dinner.
Using fresh lasagna sheets as opposed to dried cannelloni tubes makes this easier to make, and much more delicious (if you're like me and greatly prefer fresh pasta to dried).

Aunt Bee's Three Meat Chili
I recently saw a post Aunt Bee's Recipes put together for Rocket City Mom: Tailgating Recipes with Aunt Bee. This is a fantastic collection of football season foods, and definitely worth a read. Everything she included looked fantastic, but the thing that immediately caught my eye was Three Meat Chili. Even just the name sounds amazing.
I clicked through to Aunt Bee's blog straight away and checked out the recipe. It seemed straightforward to make, and had a great combination of ingredients. So with a few minor alterations (based on the ingredients I had) I got right to making this chili.

Beef Meatball Noodle Soup
Asian-inspired cuisine is one of my favorite things to make. An afternoon a while back I had a craving for some sort of beef and noodle soup. Here's the result.
This Asian-style beef noodle soup was so simple to make, with simple ingredients and it tasted amazing. I absolutely loved the combination of the subtle ginger in the meatballs with the slightly spicy beef broth. And just to make it even better - it reheated so well!

Swedish Meatballs
Meatballs are just one of those dishes that you can make a million different ways and each and every one is deliciously satisfying in it's own way. But I must say, this is one of my favorites.
Swedish Meatballs are a simple dish and a wonderful comfort food. I adore the hint of nutmeg in the meatballs, and how this combines beautifully with the creamy sauce. This is a dish that I can see becoming a regular in our household!

BBQ Steak and Onion Ring Burgers
I've been on a bit of a BBQ sauce kick lately. I hadn't used it much in years. Now I am remembering that it tastes great with almost anything. Especially this steak and onion ring burger.
This was the ultimate man food burger. Emmet was absolutely delighted with his big, thick steak filled burger topped off with onion rings, cheese, and lashings of BBQ sauce.
Steak cooking tip: Always allow your steak to reach room temperature before cooking. Cooking a steak straight from the refrigerator is more likely to cook unevenly. It's also important to rest steak after cooking (cover with aluminum foil) to allow all of the juices to run out from the center of the steak and give a nice, tender, juicy steak.
Makes 4 burgers
400 g rump steak, seasoned with salt and pepper on each side.
1 - 2 Onion, sliced into rings
1 Egg, lightly beaten
1 Cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 Cup plain flour
Oil for frying
BBQ sauce
Lettuce
Cheese
4 x Burger buns
1. Make the onion rings by combining the egg and milk together in a bowl and mixing in salt and baking powder. Coat each piece of onion in flour then coat in the egg batter mixture. Set aside.
2. Heat a dash of oil in a large fry pan over a high heat. Cook steak to your liking (for medium-rare about 3 minutes each side). Set steak aside to rest for about 10 minutes.
3. Heat oil in a small saucepan (or turn on your deep fryer if you have one), once very hot add the onion rings a couple at a time and fry until golden brown, remove onto a plate with a paper towel on it.
4. Slice the steak into strips. Assemble burgers with lettuce, cheese, steak, onion rings, and BBQ sauce.
