Truffles are one of those treats that just melts in the mouth. They are simple to make and a real crowd pleaser.
Everyone loves peanut butter and chocolate so here is my easy recipe for peanut butter truffles.
These truffles really are so easy to make. They're also a lot of fun to roll and coat making this a perfect recipe to make with your kids.
Stored in the refrigerator, these truffles will keep very well for a good long while. This makes them a fantastic homemade gift.
Peanut Butter Truffles
Makes 25
1 Cup peanut butter (I used no added salt or sugar)
1/2 Cup cream
3/4 Cup white chocolate
275 g (1 block) dark chocolate (good quality)
Chopped peanuts
1. Combine the peanut butter, cream, and white chocolate in a saucepan over a low to medium heat and stir until smooth and well combined. Remove from heat, set aside to cool.
2. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Roll the peanut butter mixture into balls, freeze until firm (an hour or so).
3. Melt dark chocolate. Dip the truffles into the chocolate, place back onto the baking tray, sprinkle with chopped peanuts and refrigerate until set.
4. Store into an airtight container in the refrigerator.
These look really yummy! I love that you mixed the white chocolate in with the peanut butter!

Do you think these could be made using milk? I ask because I don't have access to cream here but I can easily find milk....
ReplyDeleteHi Alison, of course. Milk should work fine. I would suggest making sure you use full fat milk and also reduce the amount of milk by up to half or else the ganache may not set :)
